"Two Winters: Life In West Lapland" by popsto & ricky explores the crossroad between reality and AI.
In this project, time-lapse photographer popsto teams up with an AI artist ricky to bring together both of their art mediums. They want to leave a mark on this pivotal moment of AI becoming the norm in.. pretty much everything.. by combining AI generated time-lapses with IRL shot ones. Merging the new with the old.
The focus in these pieces is winter, specifically Lapland. The sky represents reality, which is typically the realm of the dreamers, while the ground is the unreality of AI generative art. Hopefully bridging these worlds we can show that there's still hope... Winter always leads to spring.
